ARTIST BIO:One Self가 등장한다!! 화제의 중심에 서 있는 바로 그 힙합 슈퍼그룹, One Self말이다. One Self라는 이름이 낯설 수도 있으나, 이 그룹을 이루고 있는 멤버들은 그야말로 베테랑들이다. 현재 씬에서 가장 펑키하면서도 가장 창의적이고 쏘울풀한 연주를 들려주는 두 명의 멤버가 함께 무대에 서는 이 공연은 우리 모두가 기다려온 공연이 될 것이다.
그 멤버 중 한 명인 DJ Vadim은 존망 높은 레코드레이블인 Jazz Fudge의 설립자로, 아티스트음반 담당자이자 동시에 프로듀서이며, DJ이자 프로모터이며 레코드 수집가이자 라디오프로그램 진행자이며, 작가로서의 명성도 지니고 있는 인물이다. 힙합 무브먼트 자체에는 많은 영향을 미치지 않았지만, 현존하는 최고의 MC중 하나인 Yarah Bravo와의 보컬작업을 통해 보여지는 그의 힙합음악과 문화에 대한 열정은 Yarah Bravo의 기교와 어우러져 빛을 발한다.
Yarah Bravo는 다이아몬드가 굴러 내리는 듯한 천상의 목소리를 지녔으면서도, 마이크를 산산이 날려버릴 폭발력과, MC와 스테레오 음향을 압도해버리는 장악력을 동시에 갖고 있다. 그녀의 다양한 보컬 스타일과 자유자재로운 음조 및 박자의 변환으로 완성되어지는, 그녀만의 거부할 수 없는 매력의 목소리는 어쩌면 처음부터 방송전파에 오를 운명을 타고났다고 할 수 있다.
여타의 힙합 크루보다 훨씬 광범위한 언더그라운드 추종자들을 거느린 One Self는 이번 내한 서울 공연에서 한국의 Windy City를 대표하는 김반장과 함께 무대에 선다. One Self의 라이브 타악 연주와 김반장의 음악적 섬광이 결합하여, 유례없이 유니크한 사운드와 쏘울의 불꽃을 타오르게 할 것이다.
